Today’s Haul:
Beta Ray Bill from MODOK Series and Titanium Man from Iron Man 2 Comic Series
This is my entry for the ACBA (Articulated Comic Book Art) World Championship Tournament.
Thor: My brother Loki, what manner of trickery is —- arrggggghkkkk (Kratos chopped off his head)
Today’s Haul: Blue Beetle and Aquaman
Booster Gold won’t be lonely anymore because now I have his BFF Blue Beetle lol and I just love Aquaman’s golden suit/armor. I will post reviews soon.
All these NYCC pictures are making me drool. And now I’m confused as to which scale I should focus on: 1:12 or 1:18!

Charles Xavier finally getting his own golden hovering chair/throne in 1:18 scale!

Jubilee gets her own 3.75 figure!

Oh man! I have to get this!

This Ultimate Hawkeye also!

The wingspan will make this figure massive and more awesome!

One of the best sculpts in the newer waves!

And dayuuuuuuuuuuuuuum! Bleeding Edge Armor Ironman! Oh dear lord!

The new Legends logo looks cool. But I still prefer the old classic Toybiz one.

Madame HYDRA! Running variant for Madama Masque. The other running variant in wave 2 is Pilediver for Thuderball.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaan! I’d prefer getting the FF variant over the Big Time Spidey!

I like how they sculpted US Agent. Excited to see it with paint details soon.

Packed with high powered guns! Frank Castle’s best interpretation in 6 inch figure form!

I’d still get the old Wesley Snipes one if I get the chance but this head sculpt is off the fuckin hook!

Finally!

And yes finally part deux!
Hasbro is really stepping up their game and I’m really excited for next year. I just hope that these figures reach the Philippine shores. Christmas came early for all the action figure collectors :)
Father and son battle.
I planned on going to Cebu originally for the sole purpose of getting some loose action figures but it didn’t really work out -_- Most toy stores there sell MOC hard to find stuff like variants and rare ones so they were all really expensive. But oh well, I guess I would just settle with these three that I got.

Supergirl, Heath Ledger Joker and Shocker.

I’ve seen this figure at our local TRU but it really sucks because she comes in a two pack with that lame Lex Luthor figure so I just keep on passing her up. Good thing I was able to find a loose one!

I think it’s kinda weird how her panties are blue when in the comics it’s always white >:( Yes, I do pay attention to that lol.

Articulation is pretty standard female DCUC with movement on the neck (kinda hindered because of the hair and cape), ball joints on the shoulders, swivel biceps and wrists, single jointed elbows, T-joints on the hips, swivel on the upper thighs, single jointed knees and ankles.

I’ve always wanted to get this Heath Ledger Joker figure ever since it got out but it’s still freaking expensive in package. The likeness to the character in the movie is awesome and I think it’s a must have if you’re a fan of Nolan’s Batman movies.

I wouldn’t really wanna know how he got those scars lol.

My camera sucks at focusing lol but even so, it really looks like the Joker from the movie.

Lol this character really reminds me of waffles. I wanna eat it!

I want to complete all the current and past members of the Sinister Six and now that I have Shocker, I only need to look for Mysterio, Vulture and Kraven.

Notice that knob on his back? You just turn it and the figure fucking vibrates lol! Girls would love this figure.

This figure has great sculpt and the likeness to the character in the comics is fairly accurate. But it’s missing some articulation. It’s awesome how it has ankle pivots or ankle rockers (as how Hasbro would prefer) but It sucks because it doesn’t have any movement on the elbows and wrist area -_-

I got stuck in the mall yesterday because of the heavy rain so I just went roaming around and found this figure. I’ve been looking for a Venom figure in a while and it’s awesome that I finally have one.

I took these pictures in a donut shop lol.

The figure looks massive. Probably about 7 inches and it’s really bulky and I love it because of its likeness to the character in the comics.

The sculpt is awesome especially the tongue sticking out of its mouth. The paint job is superb with just a few minor overlappings but over all they did a great job.

It kinda fails in articulation a bit though because it’s missing the swivel on the upper thighs and upper biceps but it still works.

It comes with one accessory. A symbiote construct forming a tail of a scoprion which is articulated and removable.
Overall, it’s a great figure and considering the fact that this is my first Venom, I can’t really do comparisons and the likeness to the character in the comics is A+ but the lack of some vital articulations just made it an 8 out of 10.
I’ve been trying to complete the Sinister Six for such a long time and it was awesome how I stumbled upon these two figures a couple of days ago.

Rhino from Spider-Man Classics series 2
Not the best one there is but I like the sculpt because it represents Rhino’s classic look. But the scale is a bit off. although he is taller than almost all standard ML figures, it’s just not that tall enough. Also, it lacks the proper articulation but it is undestandable because it was released back in 2001 way before Toybiz began producing Marvel Legends.

Lizard from Hasbro’s Spider-Man Classics 2010
I totally dig the head sculpt on this figure and most people say that this is how the Lizard will look like in the Amazing Spider-Man movie but I don’t know anything about that. I like how the tail is articulated. But aside from those two pros, this figure is plagued with a lot of cons. They used a piece of cheap cloth as the torn up lab coat and just dipped the lower part of it in brown paint so the upper part looks sparkling clean lol. I think I’m gonna have to make it look more dirty because Lizard is known to hang out in the sewers of new york. Also, the articulation is weird and it’s not that pose-able. But I guess I’m gonna have to live with it until I finally find the Marvel Legends Fearsome Foes pack.
